Accreditation Working Group Update

The first meeting of the Accreditation Working Group took place on Thursday 14th January 2010. The Group identified and discussed potential benefits and disadvantages associated with the introduction of an accreditation scheme from the perspective of not only NADPO and its Members, but also their employing organisations. It was recognised that the Membership is comprised of professionals from varied backgrounds and that any accreditation scheme would need to encompass both experience ‘in the field’ as well as academic qualifications. The recommendations arising from the discussion will be put forward at the next meeting of the Executive.It is our intention to seek Members’ views and opinions in the coming year via an email questionnaire.
